MATERNITY CARERS QUALIFICATIONS

Many Maternity Nurses are qualified mid-wives or nannies with extensive experience in caring for newborn babies. Assessing which Maternity Nurses qualifications are the most appropriate can be difficult since there were no specific Maternity Nurse qualifications until recently.

  • CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Nursery Nursing - former NNEB certificate (National Nursery Examination Board)
  • NVQ (England, Wales and Northern Ireland)
  • Edexcel - BTEC Nursery Nursing
  • NAMCW - National Association of Maternal and Child Welfare
  • City & Guilds - Care Services
  • Midwifery & Nursing Diplomas, certificates and degrees.
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN)
  • Registered Sick Children’s Nurse (RSCN)
  • Registered Midwife (RM)
  • Registered Health Visitor (RHV)
  • Maternity Practitioner Award (MNT)

Many Maternity carers now choose to follow a Maternity Nanny Training (MNT) course. For more information on accredited training from MNT Training, please visit www.mnttraining.co.uk
